My role included leading strategic pre-event marketing, on-site event blogging and video posting on kellyocg.com, and post-event strategic evaluation and lead nurturing to keep the momentum going for all relationships established at the show.[2011]

Macomb OU INCubator Campus Grand Opening Ceremony

Overview | I served on the planning board for the highly publicized Macomb OU INCubator Campus Grand Opening. I was responsible for leading the event branding, communications and managing Rave's customer exhibits. More than 400 elected officials and business leaders attended the opening of the INCubator, a facility designed to nurture new business and grow hundreds of jobs. Keynote speakers included: Congressman Sander Levin, Congresswoman Candice Miller, Macomb County Commission Chair Paul Gieleghem, Sterling Heights Mayor Richard Notte, Oakland University President Dr. Gary Russi, TARDEC Director Dr. Grace M. Bochenek, and General Dynamics Land Systems President Mark Rouale. [2009]

Overview | Rave Computer celebrated its 20-year anniversary in Sterling Heights, Mich., with a ceremony that included Sterling Heights Mayor, Richard J. Notte, and a $20,000 donation to the Disabled American Veterans. 

I proposed the event to the executive leadership and was responsible for all planning efforts/communications including, media pitching, speech writing, event logistics, branding, press releases, community relations, and coordinating the mayor's visit. [2008]


Metro Detroit American Heart Association Start! Heart Walk

Overview | ArvinMeritor, a corporate sponsor of the American Heart Association, strongly encouraged employees to participate in fundraising for the annual Metro Detroit Start! Heart Walk. I was team leader in 2007 and my team raised over $40, 000. I was the recipient of the Best of Best & Top Team Award for most dollars raised and honored by Chip McClure, CEO and President of ArvinMeritor (Meritor), and Lin Cummins, senior vice president of communications at Arvinmeritor (Meritor).
